Here’s to thirty views on YouTube!
Starting up the burgeoning Krank media empire has been fantastic fun so far, and has been a whirlwind of activity! Plenty of behind the scene action going on with registering various socials, configuring various platforms, and other stuff that’s not immediately visible, but one thing that’s been both a lot of fun and immediately visible is launching the Krank Miniatures YouTube page.
TheDeek’s painted Rumbleslam starter set
It is of course early days, but we're starting to set a direction with content we'd like to see from more niche and specialist games, ones that don't get near as much coverage as we think they should. Accordingly I've focused the first two videos on TTCombat's Rumbleslam, a game that I love particularly for the quality of its 2 player starter box.
Absolutely packed with content, the starter box really does have everything you need to play the game. Acrylic tokens, deluxe dice, a neoprene wrestling mat, and two complete 5 person resin teams of wrestlers, for 50 quid it's a very affordable box to pick up and try out, and I strongly encourage everyone to do so! Fit it in amongst your regular gaming night for some absurdist WWEsque inspired wrestling fun, and broaden your horizons on what "war"gaming should be.

Unboxing the Calaca Cabala crew for Rumbleslam from TTCombat
The first video on the channel is also Rumbleslam content, with a team I recently picked up for the aesthetic. The Calaca Cabala are associated with the Moote Carlo casino in Rumbleslam lore, and comprise a group of what I originally thought were human skeletons, but after unboxing it's become clear it's an ogre, two halflings, and two humans, making this basically the undead and heavily partying equivalent of the Heavy Pounders team from the starter set. Beautiful minis, with a couple of casting issues that I highlighted in the videos.
So that's what's been happening in the channel so far, and I have a few more similar videos planned for the future. I also intend to add painting content, and podcast videos as well. But what do you think? Is there something you'd love to see on the channel? Register and let us know in the conversation below!
